To evaluate the quality of life (QoL) among elderly patients with heart failure (HF) treated at Thong Nhat Hospital in 2023. Methods: A crosssectional descriptive study was conducted to assess the QoL of 300 elderly inpatients (≥ 60 years old) diagnosed with HF from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. Data were collected using the SF-36 and Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) tools.

The readmission rate is estimated to be around 30-50%, resulting in high costs for both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Additionally, heart failure is associated with a considerable mortality rate, ranging from 48-57%.

This study aims to investigate the clinical and subclinical characteristics of heart failure patients according to the VNHA 2022 guidelines and to assess the relationship and correlation of serum NT-proBNP levels with the severity of heart failure according to NYHA classification, degree of anemia, left ventricular ejection fraction, Sokolow index, and left ventricular mass index.
