Questions
Suggested Answer
1. If you win free ticket for a
cruise, where will you go?
Why?
If I won free ticket for a cruise, I would go around the world. It
sounds funny but I like every corner of this beautiful Earth. I
would spend 3 months for my entire trip. My departure point
would be Singapore then I visit Korea. I am a big fan of Korean
romantic movies, so I dream to walk in Jeju island especially in
winter where I can dance under the rain of snowflakes.
Moreover, I love the Sydney Opera House and kangaroos, so I
would go to Australia next. Finally, I would like to see ancient
buildings, historical masterpieces, and religious temples in
Europe.
2. Is it safe to bring cash
while on holiday? Why?
No, I don’t think so because cash is easy to obtain and use, but
there’s always a risk of loss or theft. I knew a woman who was
pickpocketed on the subway right after she’d withdrawn a lot of
cash from an ATM. Thieves can be very hidden, especially in
crowded areas, and you may have no idea what happened until
the next time you look for your wallet. When you travel with a
lot of cash, you need a safety system, whether that’s buying a
special pouch or money belt to store your cash in, leaving most
of it in a safe in your hotel room, or splitting it up between
friends.
3. Give one example of
health and safety risks in a
hotel. How do you minimize
the risk to guests’ health and
safety while staying in a
hotel?
There are many potential sources that may harm guests’ health
and safety such as risk of contamination. To minimize risk of
food contamination, firstly I think the hotel should carefully
check food processing. Rubber gloves can provide good
protection from germs and bacteria. The hotel must ensure
fresh and clean food given to guests. Also, both hotel staff and
guests should use anti-bacterial hand gel. Finally, cleaning
products can be toxic, so staff must always keep them clearly
labelled and locked away.
4. Do you like travel by
train? Why? Why not?
I used to travel once by train from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Yen
and I loved it. I took an 10 hour overnight train and had a
comfortable berth in a private room with my family. The train
runs across rural areas of Vietnam instead of going along roads
like a coach. Therefore, I had a great chance to see imposing
mountain and beach sceneries. In addition, food that was
provided on the train was various and delicious. People sell
4
many souvenirs at train stations too. Our family had great
experience on the train; definitely, I will travel by train again in
the future.
5. What type of cuisine do
you like?
Vietnamese cuisine is my favorite type of cuisines. There are so
many delicious Vietnamese dishes. First, People use many kinds
of meat such as chicken, pork, and beef with a variety of fresh
herbs and seasoning in Vietnamese dishes. Fish sauce (nước
mm) is the predominant table sauce in Vietnamese homes, Each
Vietnamese dish has a distinctive flavor and very flavorful.
Moreover, Vietnamese cuisine is reflective of the
Vietnamese lifestyle, from the preparation to how the food is
served. the ingredients for Vietnamese food are often very
inexpensive but nonetheless, the way they are cooked together
to create a yin-yang balance makes the food simple in
appearance but rich in flavor.

the evening.

Sai Gon is the second largest city of Vietnam where
commercial activities are in full swing. So, I’m pretty sure

travelling?
I suggest you bring some cash but not too much and you
should use credit card instead. As you know that thief often

your money in credit card. Remember to use a money belt
instead of a handbag to avoid bag snatching.
6. Can you give some tips to stay
healthy during my trip?
In Saigon, the risk of sun burn is high because sunlight is
very strong, especially if you travel from February to
April. So, I suggest you wear a hat and sunglasses and use
sun cream to protect your skin. Besides, you shouldn’t go
out from 12-2pm because sunlight is stronger during that
time.

people carefully if you need to ask for directions. Secondly,
it’s always a good idea to keep your friends and family
updated about your journey so they know you are where
you supposed to be.
8. If I get sick during my trip,
what can I do?
