This study aimed to develop and validate the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-DAD) method combined with liquid-liquid extraction followed by an additional clean-up for the simultaneous determination of TMP and SMX in human plasma.

Red yeast rice is produced from rice using Monascus purpureus fungus, which results in the red colour of the fermented rice. Red yeast rice has been used for a thousand years as a food preservative and in traditional medicine to support vascular and digestive health. This study used Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to concurrently analyse citrinin and monacolin K produced by M. purpureus strain.

Ocimum africanum L. is a distinctive Vietnamese herb, especially common in Tuy Hòa, Phú Yên. This study focuses on extracting and analyzing the chemical composition of the essential oil derived from the leaves of Ocimum africanum. The essential oil was extracted using the steam distillation method and its chemical composition was analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

Octylmethoxycinnamate (OMC), octylsalicylate (OS) are UV filters commonly used in sunscreen creams for skin protection against UV radiations. In this study, an HPTLC method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of OMC and OS in sunscreen creams.

The objects of the thesis: Study and develop the simultaneous analysis method of plant growth stimulants in vegetables using by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with ion-trapping mass spectrometry. Apply the studied method of analysis and assessment of the current use, residue level and the potential accumulation of plant growth stimulants used in vegetable production in several districts belonged to Hanoi.

A simple and inexpensive method was developed using liquid - liquid extraction, together with high performance chromatographic method for determination of methoxyfenozide residues in grapes. The evaluated parameters include the extracts by distilled water and acetonitrile solvents. The method was validated using grapes samples spiked with methoxyfenozide at different fortification levels (0.05, 0.1 and 0.5 µg/g). Average recoveries (using each concentration three replicates) ranged 86-95 %, with relative standard deviations less than 5%, calibration solutions concentration in the range 0.05-5.0 µg/mL and limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were 0.02µg/g and 0.05µg/g respectively. Finally the grapes residue samples were analyzed by HPLC.
