Students will work in teams created by counting off. Everyone
in the group should do all the activities; no distribution of labor.
Readings should be done before class. Class will open with
questions about readings.
After the questions, class will continue with report-backs on
the different projects.
Discussion and critical analysis are encouraged.

This class studies the fundamentals of industrial relations systems
using IR theory and examples from other countries. All IR systems
provide answers to four questions.
Who is “us”?
Who can act?
Who judges?
Who enforces?
We will compare how these questions are answered in different
systems.
