Calculation of suspension vehicle structure
used to inspect cable-stayed bridges

Abstract: The solution of a suspended vehicle moving under the bridge beam
to inspect the cable-stayed bridge is one of the suitable and feasible solutions
in the conditions of manufacturing technology in Vietnam. However, this is a
special specialized device. During the implementation process, the designer
and verifier encountered many difficulties, especially in calculating the vehicle
frame structure. Therefore, this paper will present the basis of the design
method of suspended vehicle structure for bridge beam inspection. In which
the focus is on presenting load analysis methods and testing methods to
evaluate structure. The results of this study will contribute to improving the
capacity of domestic technical staff and developing localized products. In
addition, it will also be the basis for other studies related to this subject in the
future.
