Abstract<br />
Extracts from Thai Nguyen Tobacco were prepared by extracting dried leave powder using distilled water.<br />
Corrosion inhibition efficiency of CT3 steel was tested in HCI 1 M solution with and without Thai Nguyen tobacco<br />
extracts 2 g/1 at different immersion time. The obtained results of electrochemical measurements showed that the<br />
corrosion rate of CT3 steel in studied solution decreased 74% after 5 hours of immersion. EIS characterization and<br />
morphological characterization (SEM) of the surface of CT3 steel indicated the information of an inhibitor film on the<br />
sample surface. There is an excellent agreement between methods used for corrosion study in this research.<br />
