AREAS OF COOPERATION
1. Assessment of CC and Climate Variability 1) Training for Scientific and Technical Task Force Groups; 2) Development of Methodology for CC/Variability Assessment; 3) Assessment of Magnitude, Characteristics and Trend of Change; 4) CC Scenario development; 5) Synthesized report on CC scenario: 6) Workshop for CC scenarios: • Discuss the draft report; and • Seek for national agreement, acceptance and recognition of the developed CC scenarios.

Assessment of CC Impacts 1) Assessment of CC Impacts • Impacts of CC on Natural Resources: Water sources; Effects of SLR; Land use; Environment; Ecosystems. • Impacts of CC on Sectors: Energy; Construction; Transportation; Healthcare; Agriculture, forestry and aquaculture; Natural resources and environment; Tourism; Labor, invalids and social affairs. • Impacts of CC on Regions: Northern mountainous region; Red river delta region; North central; South central coastal; Central highlands; South eastern; Mekong River delta. • Evaluate Vietnam’s Opportunities to Mitigate and Adapt to CC. 2) National Workshop

Identification of National Targets for CC Adaptation 1) Development of Targets • Targets for Improvement of State Administration Instruments, Administrative Reform, Policy Amendment, and Capacity Enhancement of the State Instruments; • Targets for Capacity Building and Public Awareness Raising; • Targets for Natural Resources Development and Management; • Targets for Sectoral Development and Management; • Targets for Regional Development and Management; • Targets for Scientific and Technology Development; • Targets for Mobilizing Financial Sources; • Targets for International Cooperation and Negotiation in CC. 2) National Workshop
