International Business Master's Program at the International School, Vietnam

SUMMARY
As society and production technology continue to evolve, the demand for
highly knowledgeable human resources is increasing. This new workforce seeks a
higher standard of living and has growing expectations. Over the past century - a
relatively short time in the history of labor relations, the roles of workers and
employers have undergone significant transformation. The emergence of Generation
Z in the workforce is clear evidence of this change.
To keep up with domestic and international market trends, Vietnamese
enterprises must maximize and leverage their resources. Human resources are at the
core of every organization or business, encompassing all individuals working toward
a common goal. Unlike financial or material resources, human resources possess
decision-making power, creativity, and the ability to operate other organizational
elements. Employees not only execute tasks but also create value, drive development,
and ensure organizational sustainability. Therefore, companies must develop policies
and strategies to nurture and develop their workforce. Appropriate policies can boost
employee motivation, build loyalty, and harness employee potential to enhance
company performance.
Generation Z represents a new workforce entering the labor market and
gradually becoming the main labor force in organizations (Dimock, 2019). This
generation has distinct perspectives, expectations, and work preferences. Growing up
in the digital era, they seek creative and flexible work environments with ample career
development opportunities. However, these high expectations often lead to short job
tenures, especially among talented employees who desire diverse work experiences.
This thesis, “Current Situation and Solutions to Improve the Quality of Human
Resources Management Adaptive to Gen Z at Ha Tay Pharmaceutical Joint Stock
Company”, aims to provide the company with insights into its workforce
management and propose solutions to enhance human resource management
effectiveness for Gen Z employees. Implementing these strategies will help the
company gain a competitive advantage and ensure sustainable growth in an ever-
changing labor market.
