- “PREPARE FOR SUCCESS” PAGE 1 INITIATIVE LEADERSHIP INTERVIEW GUIDE PREPARE FOR SUCCESS! PROCESS OVERVIEW REVISED MARCH 24, 2003 The Initiative Leader Qualification process is designed to: • Assess an individual's preparation for Initiative Leadership roles, • Document the technical mastery of those currently in Initiative Leadership, • Provide benchmark data to eliminate gaps in our ability to meet current or future business needs. Briefly, the process has three components: 1. Fundamental, which tests your understanding of the basic concepts of Initiative Leadership. This ensures knowledge of Initiative Leadership concepts and readiness to lead smaller, less complex (routine) initiatives. All Initiative Leaders are expected to become qualified at the Fundamental level before continuing to the Advanced and Expert levels. 2. Advanced, which requires you to understand and demonstrate key Initiative Leadership skills, and readies the individual to lead larger, more complex, regional and global initiatives. Advanced and Expert Leaders are expected to be able to train and qualify Initiative leaders at the Fundamental level. 3. Expert, which requires you to demonstrate your ability to improve P&G’s Initiative Delivery process as well as deliver the most complex, multi-site & multi- country initiatives. Expert Initiative Leaders are expected to be able to train and qualify others. The remaining information in this summary includes the Qualification levels available to managers in different positions, the prerequisites candidates must meet to be Qualified, and the general criteria for Qualification .
