This study summarizes a sample of the managers of the Iraqi cellular communications company with 84 employees. The company is a service organization responsible for providing integrated telecommunications services. As a management system that uses human, technical, material and financial resources, its size and value increase in line with technical progress. The demand for telecommunication services is increasing for several factors, the most important being the only means available to the majority and to the increase in population.

Ebook "Carbohydrate-based interactions at the molecular and the cellular level" offers a clearly written and highly accessible account of two different aspects of carbohydrate chemistry. Carbohydrates are an essential component of life and have many important biological functions, but the details of how carbohydrates interact with other biomolecules to mediate biological signalling remain unclear. Firstly, this thesis details innovative methods to mine protein structural data to uncover new features of carbohydrate-based interactions.

In ebook "Pore structure in food: Simulation, measurement and applications" the pore structure of foods directly affects the success of such food processes as drying, puffing, freeze-drying, and rehydration. Consequently, the pore structure of foods determines what types of food processes will work best with a particular food. This Brief will first discuss in depth the need to correctly measure the pore structure of foods and then will identify and describe in detail the current methods available to measure food porosity. Finally, it will review the applications of these various methods.

Ebook "The physical processes of digestion" is the first comprehensive review of what is known regarding the physical processes of digestion in man and other simple-stomached vertebrates. The authors consider the physical constraints that govern the dissolution and digestion of food particles and the physical properties of whole digesta that influence flow and mixing, and hence the physical process of diffusion of nutrients to and through the gut wall.

Ebook "Measuring biological impacts of nanomaterials" reviews several aspects of the biological response to nanoscale particles on a molecular and cellular level. Nanoscale materials and nanoscale particles in particular have interesting properties and beneficial applications. While they thus have entered our daily lifes on many different levels (from electronics, over textiles, packaging or surface modifications, to biomedical applications), general rules describing their interaction with biological structures and biological matter are still difficult to derive.

In tissue engineering, coating biomaterial’s surface with extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins can promote many biological activities, including cellular responses, wound healing, and rejection reduction. Several interactions occur upon binding proteins onto the surfaces, leading to changes in the protein structural conformation, directly affecting the cell-host interactions. Therefore, this study investigates the impacts of surfaces’ wettability on protein conformation.

There were only limited researches on the properties of 3D periodic cellular materials, especially for 3D periodic cellular materials with Schwarz primitive structure which have potential to be used for energy absorption. The objective of this study is to investigate the energy absorption, compressive strength and deformation pattern of the 3D periodic cellular materials with Schwarz primitive structure, which possesses optimum bulk modulus. The study is planned to provide these important research issues of such 3D cellular materials for energy absorption applications.

The evidence for a complete cellular remnant removal was shown through Hematoxylin and Eosin staining and DNA measurements. The AAM powder was prepared by mechanical disruption under reduced temperatures, which resulted in an AAM particle size in the range of 100 mm. In vitro cytotoxicity testing via extraction demonstrated that AAM had no toxicity on human adipose derived stem cells (hADSCs).

This paper demonstrates a homogenization approach to characterize the effect of cell size of open-cell foam materials on their acoustic properties such as effective density, effective bulk modulus, and sound absorption. The three-dimensional representative volume element of the local morphology of open-cell foams is first reconstructed.

The importance of the material properties of membranes for diverse cellular processes is well established. Notably, the elastic properties of the membrane, which depend on its composition, can directly influence membrane reshaping and fusion processes as well as the organisation and function of membrane proteins.

Consumption of excessive big quantity of trance-isomers leads to organism dysfunction at cellular level. It is established that trance-isomers metabolized in an organism much more slowly than natural cis-isomers. The work is aimed at research of technologies of reception of firm fats with the minimum maintenance of trance isomerized fat acids. At hydrogenation of vegetable oils there are various collateral reactions, including trance isomerization during which natural cis-isomers of fat acids turn to trance-isomers.

Recently, carbon dots (CDs) have attracted great attention due to their superior properties, such as biocompatibility, fluorescence, high quantum yield, and uniform distribution. These characteristics make CDs interesting for bioimaging, therapeutic delivery, optogenetics, and theranostics. Photoluminescence (PL) properties enable CDs to act as imaging-trackable gene nanocarriers, while cationic CDs with high transfection efficiency have been applied for plasmid DNA and siRNA delivery.

Air pollution induces abnormality in anthers, reduction of pollen grains’ umbers and male sterility. Anthers of Spartium junceum L. (Spanish broom) were collected at different stages of development from control (less polluted) and polluted areas (mainly SO2, NO2, CO, hydrocarbons (HCs) and airborne particulate material (APM)). Structure and development of anther walls and pollen grains were studied and compared.
