The purpose of study is to examine the psychosocial factors that lead to gender-based violence during courtship in university students. A descriptive analysis was conducted where participants were randomly selected, with a minimum of 2 months of dating time, using the dating violence assessment (CUVINO) which consists of 42 reagents in eight different sections.

Anger is the most frequently and most commonly occurring phenomenon. Anger issues during adolescence lead to many developmental issues and have lifelong impact. Assessing anger at this stage is hence critical and important. Studies report anger experience and expression vary with respect to age, gender and culture. A newly developed adolescent anger scale by the author has been validated in this study. The newly developed scale along with State Trait Anger Expression Inventory for Children and Adolescent was administered to 323 Children in a survey study conducted in schools.

Women at Farm and Home contribute to economic growth in developing countries and clearly represent an untapped potential. When women adopt gender sensitive practices they can empower themselves, voice and represent decision making, provide business network, enhance access to market services and facilitate economics of scale. In this connection Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rudrur conducted On Farm Trials on Farm and Home technologies for women in adopted villages to assess and refine for further demonstration.

Agriculture in general and livestock in particular are important to make women empowered by giving them employment. Research and experience confirm the importance of gender equity, not only as a fundamental human right, but also as essential to poverty reduction and improved living standard. The study was purposively conducted with an objective to assess gender role in animal husbandry practices in hill farming situation where involvement of the women in agriculture is higher than their counterpart. Data collection was done through personal interview from randomly selected 60 farm families.

The present study was under taken to assess guidance needs of male and female adolescents in urban and rural areas. The study was conducted on 200 adolescents (100 urban and 100 rural) of Government Senior Secondary Schools of Ludhiana district. The sample was further equally distributed over two genders (100males and 100 females). For the assessment of guidance need, Grewal guidance need inventory (1997) was used. The result revealed that in rural sample, males and females showed non significant difference in all dimensions of guidance needs.

The present study was conducted to assess the gender and locale differences in mental health among adolescents. The study was based on 240 adolescents (i.e. 120 rural and 120 urban) in the age range of 16-18 years. The sample was randomly drawn from four Government Senior Secondary Schools purposively selected from rural as well as urban areas of Ludhiana district. Mental Health Battery by Singh and Sengupta (2000) was used to assess the mental health of adolescents. The battery consists of 130 items related to mental health.

The comparative study was conducted purposively in Haryana and Uttarakhand states. Chamoli district from Uttarakhand and Bhiwani district from Haryana states were selected at random. From Chamoli block, Gair village and from Bhiwani block, Chang village was selected at random. Families with adults in the age range of 40-50 years were identified by snowball method. From each state urban and rural sample constituted of randomly selected 120 adults including 60 males and 60 females.

The present study was undertaken on 1070 children (571 boys and 499 girls) of secondary and senior secondary schools of Hisar district of Haryana state. The study was conducted with all children enrolled in classes 6th to 10th from six selected schools (three schools from urban area and three schools from rural area i.e. Ladwa). This exploratory and crosssectional study aimed to identify the extent of bullying, victimization and fighting behaviour in a group of children and analyze the data regarding the gender of those involved in bullying, victimization and fighting behaviour.

A semi structured questionnaire based field survey was conducted to assess the socioeconomic factors, responsible for the buffalo rearing in the 11 villages of Chaka block of Allahabad. The recent study was performed on the respondents of different age group, gender, education status, factors and other characteristics that include breeds, rearing and housing strategies of the various buffalo in these different villages of Chaka region.

The Bureau conducts participatory gender audits within the offi ce and among its constituents. Gender audits provide a rigorous and collective self-assessment of progress and gaps in institutionalizing gender mainstreaming – within the ILO or national institutions – and develops recommendations on how to enhance the process. Through technical cooperation, the Bureau works to strengthen the gender mainstreaming capacity of ILO constituents at country level and offers targeted support.

A 1997 desk review of projects conducted in the mid-1990s found that Bank projects that took gender relations into account in their design and implementation tended to achieve their objectives more often than projects that ignored gender issues.

A key component of the strategy is the CGA, a country-level gender analysis that identifies critical areas in which gender-respon- sive actions are likely to enhance growth, poverty reduction, and well-being in a particular country context. Country Directors will ensure the completion of these assessments in a timely manner in countries with an active lending program (and in which an assess- ment has yet to be conducted). In line with the ongoing reform of the Bank’s analytical work, the methods for carrying out these assess- ments will be flexible.

Difficult tasks are often very simply stated. This committee was asked by Congress to “conduct a study to assess gender differences in the careers of science, engineering, and mathematics (SEM) faculty, focusing on four-year institutions of higher education that award bachelor’s and graduate degrees. The study will build on the National Academies’ previous work and examine issues such as faculty hiring, promotion, tenure, and allocation of institutional resources including (but not limited to) laboratory space.” That such an assessment would be daunting was well understood by the committee.
