The paper discusses how the traditional method of association rule mining based on user-defi ned minimum support and confi dence can result in either too many or too few association rules. This could lead to valuable information being missed or redundant rules being generated, which is not practical and can be costly to implement.

This study aims to describe the association between sharp score and clinical indexes, bone metabolism indexes, Disease Activity Score (DAS28) and sociodemographic factors in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Data were collected from the HIS (hospital information system), a national inpatient database in China, with information on the patients hospitalized during the period from 2012 to 2019. The association between sharp score and effective factors were identifed using multinomial logistic regression and association rule mining (ARM).

In addition to traditional exploiting information methods, researchers have developed attribute reduction methods to reduce the size of the data space and eliminate irrelevant attributes. Our attribute reduction is based on the dependence between attributes in traditional rough set theory and in fuzzy rough set. The author built the tool which is inclusion degree and tolerance-based contingency table to solve the problem of finding the approximation set on set-valued information systems.

This paper presents the results of the development of a high throughput, real time modularized text analysis and information retrieval system that identifies clinically relevant entities in clinical notes, maps the entities to several standardized nomenclatures and makes them available for subsequent information retrieval and data mining. The performance of the system was validated on a small collection of 351 documents partitioned into 4 query topics and manually examined by 3 physicians and 3 nurse abstractors for relevance to the query topics.

We propose a language-independent method for the automatic extraction of transliteration pairs from parallel corpora. In contrast to previous work, our method uses no form of supervision, and does not require linguistically informed preprocessing. We conduct experiments on data sets from the NEWS 2010 shared task on transliteration mining and achieve an F-measure of up to 92%, outperforming most of the semi-supervised systems that were submitted.
