Research paper on applying Artificial intelligence for E-Learning. In this research, we provide an introduction to e-learning and its role in areas of life and many strong points of elearning with traditional learning. Besides, we will answer the question "How is AI applied in elearning?" Employing the state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) technology in current e-learning systems can bring personalized, adaptive, and intelligent services to both students and educators.

One of the advanced technologies in e-learning deals with the systems’ ability to fit the students’ preferences. It emerged based upon the common conception that every person has different learning style. However, despite the many options of learning style models toward using personalized elearning, there are considerable challenges to assess the usability degree of the e-learning. The aim of this study is the evaluation of usability of personalized adaptive e-learning system that has been developed based on students’ learning style and initial knowledge level.

The “Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Laboratory” is a computer based self-learning system developed for students to acquire practical skills and knowledge required to deal with EPRs. The system is designed to supplement conventional lectures on health information systems given as part of our undergraduate curriculum. Using the Laboratory, the students may learn not only operations of EPR systems but also the subjects connected with patient information handling, including privacy, security and health information ethics. The EPR Laboratory is composed of an eLearing system and an EPR system.

Digital resources available on the Internet form a very significant component of self-learning. Copious volumes of learning resources without legal barriers to self-learning reside in digital repositories, educational institution portals and on numerous websites.

In this study, 52 students in Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia used an e-learning system to study a chemistry topic. Students’ e-learning activities were recorded, and their perceptions and expectations regarding e-learning were determined via an open-ended questionnaire after the study. There were more students who perceived e-learning as a difficult system to use than those who found it suitable. Most students did only few quizzes and spent less time on e-learning materials.

To address this issue, this paper proposes three major contributions namely, automated video annotation, the 3- Dimensional (3D) tag clouds, and the hyper interactive presenter (HIP) eLearning platform. Combining existing state-of-the-art SIFT together with tag cloud, a novel approach for automatic lecture video annotation for the HIP is proposed. New video annotations are implemented automatically providing the needed random access in lecture videos within the platform, and a 3D tag cloud is proposed as a new way of user interaction mechanism.

Research on online interactions during a learning situation to better understand users' practices and to provide them with quality-oriented features, resources and services is attracting a large community. As a result, the interest for sharing educational data sets that translate the interactions of users with elearning systems has become a hot topic today. However, the current systems aggregating social and usage data about their users suffer from a series of weaknesses. In particular, they lack a common information model that would allow for exchanges of interaction data at a large scale.

In this paper we propose an improved E-Learning Social Network Exploiting Approach based on clustering algorithm and graph model, which can automatically group distributed e-learners with similar interests and make proper recommendations, which can finally enhance the collaborative learning among similar elearners. Through similarity discovery, trust weights update and potential friends adjustment, the algorithm implements an automatic adapted trust relationship with gradually enhanced satisfactions.
