An increase in human capital for the host country means that fewer people will fall under the poverty line and fewer will suffer from hunger. An increase in human capital can also increase the health and wellbeing of citizens. By analyzing the evident benefits of Green FDI for host countries that promoting for increasingly seeking more green investors, authors would like to suggest some recommendations for Vietnamese governments to become attractive destinations for sustainable investment.

In this study, we propose some solutions to enhancing the performance of the Vietnamese seafood industry through a deep dive into factors contributing to the capital efficiency of listed seafood companies during one decade, from 2011 to 2021. We found that current assets and working capital efficiency play a significant role in direct capital efficiency. Financial leverage decreases the return of shareholders. We recommend three leading solutions based on the empirical findings: tightening cost management, adjusting capital structure, and increasing value-added business investment.

This paper investigates whether this is the case for 60 Vietnamese provinces for the time-period 1999-2010, using a system-GMM estimator and a Solow growth model augmented with human and physical capital and spatial lag covariates. We report that spatial dependence is a significant determinant of growth and conditional convergence in Vietnamese provinces. We also demonstrate that the rate of convergence decreases as the distancebetween neighbouring provinces increases.

According to the Impact Investor Survey of the Global Impact Investment Network (GIIN) in 2019, from 2014 to 2018, the capital invested (USD millions) in the world increased by 1.8 times, and the number of investments increased by more than 1.5 times. Notably, more than 60% of investors specifically track their investment performance against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs), and the most common ones are “decent work and economic growth” (73%), “no poverty” (61%), “reduced inequalities” (59%).

In the context of integration, in addition to increasing foreign capital inflows, Vietnamese enterprises are becoming more and more interested in outward foreign direct investment activities. This research expands the Investment Development Path model to assess the influence of some macroeconomic factors (GNI per capita, the proportion of expenditure on science and technology, FDI flows, USD to VND exchange rate, total import-export turnover) on Vietnamese enterprises’ outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) flows.

This study examined the stimulation of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows through constant electricity power supply for economic growth in Nigeria, by engaging time series data sourced from the world development indicators (WDI) for the period 1986-2017 and employed the Autoregressive distribution lag econometric approach to co-integration. By using the panel data of China’s high-tech listed companies in 2013-2018, this paper shows common funds as active institutional investors significantly promotes firms’ R&D investment. For every 10 percentage point increase of common fund ownership rate, high-tech firms’ R & D expense ratio and R & D staff ratio would increase respectively by 0.1 and 2.3 percentage points. The impact is greater in more technology-intensive companies. But institutional investors have no influence on firms’ innovation productivity measured by the number of patents gained per million R & D expenses.
