The model jointly optimizes the initial inventory and the price for the product, so as to maximize the total average profit. Finally, the model is analysed and validated with the help of numerical examples, and a comprehensive sensitivity analysis has been performed which provides some important managerial implications.

The bubble nucleation in the framework of 3-3-1-1 model is studied. Previous studies show that first order electroweak phase transition occurs in two periods. In this paper we evaluate the bubble nucleation temperature throughout the parameter space. Using the stringent condition for bubble nucleation formation we find that in the first period, symmetry breaking from SU(3) → SU(2), the bubble is formed at the nucleation temperature T = 150 GeV and the lower bound of the scalar mass is 600 GeV.

We will examine whether anisotropic hairs exist in a string-inspired scalar-GaussBonnet gravity model with the absence of potential of scalar field during the inflationary phase. As a result, we are able to obtain the Bianchi type I power-law solution to this model under the assumption that the scalar field acts as the phantom field, whose kinetic is negative definite. However, the obtained anisotropic hair of this model turns out to be large, which is inconsistent with the observational data.

This study develops an inventory model to determine ordering policy for deteriorating items with constant demand rate under inflationary condition over a fixed planning horizon. Shortages are allowed and are partially backlogged. In today’s wobbling economy, especially for long term investment, the effects of inflation cannot be disregarded as uncertainty about future inflation may influence the ordering policy.

In this chapter, students will be able to understand: Illustrate how economists combine consumption and investment to depict an aggregate expenditures schedule for a private closed economy, analyze how changes in equilibrium real GDP can occur in the aggregate expenditures model and describe how those changes relate to the multiplier, identify and describe the nature and causes of "recessionary expenditure gaps" and "inflationary expenditure gaps".

At present, particle physics faces problems related with disparity in diphoton decay of Higgs boson, discrepancy between theory and experiment of about 3.6σ in anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and neutrino physics. Moreover, the existence of Dark Matter and the Matter-Antimatter Asymmetry are challenges for any physical model. In this review I present some solutions in the framework of the 3-3-1 models. The simple (by Higgs sector) models contain the hybrid inflationary scenario and the first-order phase transitions, from which leptogenesis needed for BAU is followed.

Chapter 28 - The structural stagnation policy dilemma. After reading this chapter, you should be able to: Differentiate a structural stagnation from a standard recession, demonstrate in the AS/AD model how globalization can mask inflationary pressures caused by expansionary policies, explain the role of globalization and the financial bubble in creating a structural stagnation problem, outline the policy choices that policy makers have to deal with structural stagnation.
