The aim of this study was to design and characterize a NdFeO3-based photocatalyst prepared by sol-gel method for treatment of oily wastewater. Different characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV–vis spectrophometer were used to elucidate the structure, morphology, surface functional groups, and optical absorption properties of the prepared NdFeO3 photocatalyst.

Non-metallic C, N, and S doped TiO2 materials were prepared using the hydrothermal method from titanyl sulfate solution with different doped precursors. The influence of non-metallic elements on crystal structure, morphology, surface area, bonding state, and light absorption ability of materials was studied through XRD, SEM, BET spectra, and UVis - DRS.

Characterization results show that N-doped TiO2 samples have a broader absorption spectrum and a higher antibacterial efficiency against E. coli than pure samples. The DFT calculation suggests that nitrogen ion doping induces the formation of new states closed to the valence band leading to a narrowing of the band gap and a great improvement in photocatalytic activity in the visible light region of the doped material.

The core light-harvesting LH1 protein fromRhodospirillum rubrumcan dis-sociate reversibly in the presence ofn-octyl-b-d-glucopyranoside into smal-ler subunit forms, exhibiting a dramatic blue-shift in absorption. During this process, two main species are observed: a dimer that absorbs at 820 nm (B820) and a monomer absorbing at 777 nm (B777).

Native and Ca 2+ -depleted light-harvesting–reaction center core complexes (LH1–RC) from the photosynthetic bacterium Thermochromatium(Tch.) tepidum exhibit maximal LH1–Qy absorption at 915 and 889 nm, respec-tively. To understand the structural origins of the spectral variation, we performed spectroscopic and structure modeling investigations.

Why do objects lose their color with depth? The colors other than blue (and green) are absorbed by the water molecules in the first few meters only blue (and green) are reflected Sound is transmitted better Sound is transmitted better in water than it is in air Sound velocity in the ocean is about 1500 m/s, or about 4 times its speed in air Sound velocity increases with pressure and temperature

Immunologic Effects Exposure to solar radiation causes local (inhibition of immune responses to antigens applied at the irradiated site) and systemic (inhibition of immune responses to antigens applied at remote unirradiated sites) immunosuppression. The action spectrum for UV-induced immunosuppression closely mimics the absorption spectrum of DNA. Pyrimidine dimers in LCs may inhibit antigen presentation. The absorption spectrum of epidermal urocanic acid closely mimics the action spectrum for UV-B-induced immunosuppression.
