Ebook "Dynamical decoupling in distance measurements by double electron-electron resonance" determines the optimal dynamical decoupling (DD) scheme for efficient reduction of electron spin coherence loss in model systems for spin labelled biomolecules depending on their particular relaxation behavior. Extending the nth order DD scheme to double electron-electron resonance (DEER) experiments require the addition of multiple pump pulses for ≠ 1.

The complexity in modern electrical and electronic circuits has necessitated the need for efficient methods to manage behavior, simulate, and analyze them. Reduced-order modeling techniques are effective tools to address these challenges by simplifying systems while retaining essential characteristics.

This article presents a novel algorithm, named BPRU, designed to reduce the complexity of high-order systems while preserving passive (real-positive) properties and stability. Additionally, this technique can also reduce the order of unstable systems.

In this study, the algorithm was applied to a model of an unstable electrical system with a degree of 66 and reduced to degrees 8 and 15. Simulation results using Matlab showed that the HBT method was successful in reducing the order of the system and improved simulation time. The reduced-order system of degrees 8 or 15 can be used in place of the original system in applications in the time or frequency domain during analysis, design, simulation or implementation of electrical networks.

The Optimal Hankel Norm Approximation (OHkNA) algorithm plays an important role in reducing the order of the Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) systems. By reducing the order of the system, the OHkNA algorithm simplifies the system's design and performance.

In addition to reduction, MB decolorization mainly results from adsorption on the surface of GdB6 based on the adsorption-desorption tests. The adsorption behavior follows the pseudo-second-order kinetics and Freundlich isotherm model.

We develop a New Keynesian model featuring Calvo price setting and Calvo wage setting to study welfare consequences of exogenous variations in trend inflation. We find that shifting trend inflation produces a large welfare cost, which can be mainly accounted not only by a reduction of the average level of consumption and working hours, but also by an increase in their volatility.

The search for optimum design variables is conducted by using a recent heuristic method, namely Grey Wolf Optimizer. During the heuristic search, direct heat conduction problem has to be solved several times. The set of heat transfer parameters that lead to smallest error rate between computed temperature field and reference one is the optimum output of the inverse problem. In order to accelerate the process, the model order reduction technique Proper-Orthogonal-Decomposition (POD) is used.

While the genetics of diploid inheritance are well studied and software for linkage mapping, haplotyping and QTL analysis are available, for tetraploids the available tools are limited. In order to develop such tools it would be helpful if simulated populations based on a variety of models of the tetraploid meiosis would be available.

Detecting patterns in high-dimensional multivariate datasets is non-trivial. Clustering and dimensionality reduction techniques often help in discerning inherent structures. In biological datasets such as microbial community composition or gene expression data, observations can be generated from a continuous process, often unknown.

Chromosome structure is a very limited model of the genome including the information about its chromosomes such as their linear or circular organization, the order of genes on them, and the DNA strand encoding a gene. Gene lengths, nucleotide composition, and intergenic regions are ignored.

This paper proposes a novel Large-scale (massive) Multi-input Multi-output Multicarrier Code division multiple access (LS MIMO MC-CDMA) model and application to the Fifth-Generation Mobile Communication Systems (5G). This system uses combined cylindrical array antenna multiple beamforming architecture with spatial multiplexing. The model is optimized by Min-Max criteria in order to minimize side lobes and maximize the reduction of propagation loss. The Monte Carlo simulation results unify with the analytical solution for system performance.

In this work, numerical simulations of fluid flow around trash-rack for different bar cross sections are conducted to investigate cross section influence on head losses. Comparison with experimental data is conducted to validate the usage of numerical simulations which enable investigation of great number of trash-rack configurations. In previous experimental studies researchers mostly focused on trashrack parameters (bar spacing, bar length, inclinations etc.) where bar cross section was mainly rectangular or streamlined shape.
