This study aimed to propose a mathematical method to investigate and optimize the simultaneous elimination process of multiple organic pollutants using the Fenton process. Hence, the treatment of rhodamine B (RB) and acid red 14 (AR14) dyes in their binary solution was studied. Multivariate curve resolution alternating least square (MCR-ALS), a novel chemometric method, was applied along with correlation constraints to resolute the UV-Vis spectrophotometric data, enabling quantification of investigated dyes despite a high spectral overlapping.

Technological parameters consist of current I, pulse on time Ton, pulse of time Toff, and wire speed S. The multiple response optimization and ranking of input parameters were productively completed by GRA to find the effect of each of it. Analysis of variance produced the higher significant factor from selected parameters with percentage of their contribution and was confirmed with an affirmation (verification) test for the obtained optimal set of factors. Thus, the hybrid GRA with Taguchi technique design provides the optimal design parameters affecting multi-performances of TFC system.

This research work was basically done to study the optimized parameters on the basis of oil yield, which was the dependent parameter. The data from all the experiments were analyzed using Design Expert 9.0.6.2 and the response functions were developed using multiple regression analysis and second order model was fitted for each response. It was found that power, sonication time and solvent volume had highly noteworthy consequence on oil yield. With upsurge in level of all the three variables, oil yield augmented.

This paper presents a new PCA-based approach, called PCA-based utility theory (UT) approach, for optimization of multiple dynamic responses and compares its optimization performance with other existing PCA-based approaches. The results show that the proposed PCA-based UT method is superior to the other PCA-based approaches.

Experimental results indicated that the turning in spray cooling environment was beneficial compared to that in dry environment for the quality response characteristics under consideration. Analysis of variance showed that feed was the most significant parameter for the multiple performance characteristics during turning in both the environments.

Silicon carbide (SiC) particulate impregnated Al 7075 matrix composite was fabricated by stir casting method and then heat treated to T6 condition. It was then machined with multiple layer of TiN coated tungsten carbide (WC) inserts in dry environment and pollution free Spray Impingement Cooling (SIC) environment to compare the machining performance. SIC environment presented better machining performance with respect to cutting tool temperature (T), average roughness of the machined surface (Ra) and tool flank wear (VBc).

The results show that the tool wear was influenced principally by the cutting time and in the second level by the cutting tool hardness. On the other hand, cutting time was the dominant factor affecting workpiece surface roughness followed by cutting speed. Finally, the multiple response optimizations of tool wear and surface roughness were carried out using the desirability function approach (DFA).

Studies were carried out for rapid micropropagation of two sugarcane genotypes Co-86032 and CoVC-18061. The explants were surface sterilized with 75% alcohol for 30 minutes using cotton. The cultures were initiated by inoculating shoot apical meristem on MS (Murashige and Skoog, 1962) medium containing 1.0 mg/l kinetin. The multiplication response of two sugarcane genotypes was studied under five levels of 6-Benzylaminopurine (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 mg/l) and five levels of kinetin (0, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mg/l) in completely randomized design with 5x5x2 factorial treatment combinations.

Post present a novel microfluidic impedance biosensor chip for trapping both a single and multiple cancer cells and monitoring their response to the anticancer drug treatment. By designing different sizes of working microelectrodes together with the Vshaped cell capture structures, a single or multiple cells are trapped on the microelectrodes surfaces. In addition, by utilizing the passive pumping method, cells can be trapped and positioned inside the microchannels without the need of using the outer micro pump or syringe.
