Nui Coc Reservoir

A part of being an important source of animal protein and employment opportunities for people living in its vicinity, Nui Coc Reservoir supplies water used to control flooding and irrigate agriculture land and industrial zone. With the purpose of finding out whether seasonal water level fluctuations could affect fish production in the latter, monthly fisheries catch data by fishing gear were collected and analyzed taking into consideration the water level changes.

Nui Coc Reservoir is an important provider of animal proteins and employment opportunities. However it is noticed that the fish fauna biodiversity in Vietnamese reservoirs is deteriorating both in the number and production of economically signifi cant species.
