Rational numbers

This research aims to determine second-year university students’ understanding in interpreting and representing fractions. A set of fraction tests was given to students through two direct learning interventions. An unstructured interview was used as an instrument to obtain explanations and confirmations from the purposive participants.

This study was conducted in Adilabad, Khammam and Warangal districts of Telangana. Ex post-facto research design was followed in this study, since different variables chosen for the study had already occurred. An effort was made to document the indigenous technology of tribal farmers. A study has been conducted on a total 1200 no. of chicks out of which 600 numbers (200 each of Indigenous, Vanaraja and Crossbred) were reared under intensive system. All the types of chicken were fed uniform diet of Chick (0-8 weeks), Grower (9-20 weeks) and Layer (above 20 weeks) ration prepared with conventional feedstuffs as per BIS (1992). Remaining 600 numbers (200 each of Indigenous, Vanaraja and Crossbred) were distributed among 30 beneficiaries for backyard system of rearing.

An experiment was conducted to assess the growth performance of quails on supplementation of seaweeds. 600 numbers of day old quail chicks were randomly divided into four groups with five replicates and 25 chicks in each replicate. Seaweeds viz., Chaetomorpha antennina, Sargassum wightii and Gracilaria corticata were collected from Gulf of Mannar region and was dried and included in the ration @ 3 % level and treated as group - 2, 3 and 4, respectively. Quail on normal ration was kept as control (Group -1). The trial was conducted for six weeks period.

This work aimed to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of intra-articular injection of magnesium sulphate (4%) compared with equivalent volume of bupivacaine (0.5%) after outpatient knee arthroscopic meniscectomy. Forty patients were randomly assigned to two groups. Group M (n = 20) received intra-articular magnesium sulphate 4%, group B (n = 20) received bupivacaine (0.5%). Analgesic effect was evaluated by analgesic duration, and by measuring pain intensity at 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 24 h both at rest and on knee movement to 90.

The overuse of medicines has frequently occurred at health facilities in Vietnam. Many factors affect prescription. This study was carried out to investigate the patterns of outpatient prescription and factors related to prescription of doctors. Subjects and method: Cross-sectional study with a total of 300 outpatient drug prescriptions and 30 questionnaires of physicians were conducted at Phongdien Medical Center, Cantho city during the period of 2017 - 2018.
