The electric and magnetic properties of a lithium ferrite (LF) synthesized using the solid state reaction technique have been reported. The XRD studies reveal the cubic nature, from which the crystallite size and the lattice constant are determined to be 16.84 nm and 2.847 Å repectively. The FESEM confirms the coarseness in the samples with a low porosity.

The morphological structure and photoluminescence properties of the samples were studied. Phosphors have morphologies and particle sizes that vary depending on the preparation.

Synthesis of the magnesium type of the mineral boracite (Mg 3 B7 O13 Cl) was studied. Several parameters affecting boracite synthesis were investigated. The raw materials selected were magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl 2 .6H2 O), magnesium oxide (MgO), and boron oxide (B2 O3). Reaction temperatures were selected between 600 ◦ C and 900 ◦ C. Moreover, three different reaction times of 4, 1, and 0.5 h were studied with the determined optimum molar ratio, reaction temperature, and reaction medium.

This paper studies the effects of the sintering temperature on crystal structure, critical temperature (Tc) and excess conductivity of Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O (BPSCCO) system. Bulk BPSCCO samples were fabricated by the solid-state reaction method. Four different temperatures of 835 °C, 840 °C, 845 °C, and 850 °C were applied to sinter four different samples.

A new double molybdate Na2Co2(MoO4)3 was synthesized via solid-state reaction and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD). This compound is a new member of the lyonsite structure type. It crystallized in the orthorhombic system, space group Pnma with cell parameters a = 5.272(2) Å, b = 10.816(3) Å, and c = 18.064(3) Å. The structure can be described as a three-dimensional framework with hexagonal tunnels in which the Na+ cations lie. The obtained structural model is supported by charge distribution analysis and bond valence sum validation tools.
