We have effectively synthesized ZnS, FeSe2, and their nanocomposite using a straightforward and affordable solvothermal process. We also investigated for the first time their ideal electrochemical performance for supercapacitors.

In this work, Ag nanoparticles (NPs) were fabricated by the solvothermal method of silver nitrate in different organic solvents with the presence of sodium oleate (SOA) and 1- octadecanol (OCD-ol). The effects of different solvents and concentrations of OCD-ol on the morphology and properties of the Ag nanomaterials were investigated in detail.

Titanium dioxide/phthalocyanine (TiO2/Pc), TiO2/fluor containing phthalocyanine (TiO2/FPc), and TiO2/fluor containing cobalt phthalocyanine (TiO2/FCoPc) had been successfully fabricated by a simple combination of phthalocyanines obtained by insitu synthesis on the surface of TiO2 nanofibers prepared by electrospinning. Scanning electron microscopy micrographs and X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the phthalocyanines uniformly immobilized on the surface of TiO2 nanofibers.

In this study, 3,4-dihydroxy-L-phenylalanine (L-Dopa) was solvothermally polymerized to monodisperse microspheres 1 µm in diameter. Polymerization was carried out in dimethylformamide containing appropriate amounts of urea and L-Dopa at 120 ◦ C for 24 h. Synthesis of the polymer in basic aqueous solution under hydrothermal conditions or via conventional heating resulted in the formation of bulky powders including irregularly shaped particles of the polymer. The morphologies of the synthesized polymers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

In this study, we report the synthesis of LiFePO4 crystalline size around 200nm by solvothermal method, using LiOH.H2O, FeSO4.7H2O, H3PO4 precursors in a mixture of ethylene glycol (EG) and deionized water (DI water). Moreover, we also used ascorbic acid as an agent for preventing the oxidation of Fe2+ to Fe3+ .

This work develops that study to produce functionalized gadolinium carbonate (Gd2(CO3)3) for use as an MRI contrast agent, characterizing and interpreting the effects of different heating times. The (Gd2(CO3)3) was then used as a single precursor for synthesizing Gd2O3 nanoparticles by a novel calcination pathway at different heating temperatures.

Morphologically controlled synthesis of ferric oxide nano/micro particles has been carried out by using solvothermal route. Structural characterization displays that the predominant morphologies are porous hollow spheres, microspheres, micro rectangular platelets, octahedral and irregular shaped particles.

In the present paper, a comparative study on the synthesis of the metal-organic framework–199 (MOF–199) using the microwave and solvothermal method was demonstrated. The obtained materials were characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms and thermal gravity. The microwave synthesis of MOF–199 was compared with the conventional hydrothermal synthesis. The results showed that MOF–199 could be obtained in a much shorter time with improved yield and textural properties under the microwave irradiation.

In this study, ZnO doped Mn2+ nanoparticle with hexagonal wurtzite phase was fabricated by a solvothermal method where various contents of Mn ion were in situ doped in ZnO nanostructure. The crystal structure and morphological properties were investigated by X-ray diffractometry, Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy.

Flower-like Bi2WO6 were successfully synthesized using the solvothermal method at different temperatures and characterized by XRD, FE-SEM, and DRS. We also investigated the photocatalytic activity of Bi2WO6 for the decomposition of rhodamine B under visible light irradiation. From XRD and SEM results, the reaction temperature has significant effects on the morphologies of the samples. From DRS results, Bi2WO6 samples displayed the absorption spectrum up to the visible region and then they showed the high photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation, as a comparison with TiO2-P25.

In this research, few–layer–graphene (FLG) sheets had been successfully fabricated by using a microwave–assisted method. First, graphite intercalation compounds were prepared from potassium–tetra.hydrofuran (K–THF) –expanded graphite by solvothermal process, and then the exfoliation was assisted by microwave radiation and sonication process.

The synthesis of Fe-MIL-101 material with the presence of H2BDC linker and iron (III) chloride achieving remarkable success is a result of solvothermal method. Catalytic activity works on the Friedel-Crafts benzoylation reaction of aromatic compounds and benzoyl chloride. In addition, Fe-MIL-101 is a heterogeneous catalyst which succeeds in not only shortening duration in a significant amount, but also increasing conversion with the assistance of the microwave irradiation compared with the conventional heating.
