The curriculum has emerged over the past century from a simple list of subject-specific outcomes to an intricate and holistic set of experiences for students to grapple with. This paper found that most literature agrees with the theory of Smith. Therefore, this paper concluded that any type of school curriculum should be viewed as a combination of a product, process, and praxis.

We propose to write a text on ordinary differential equations that will be meaningful, accessible, and engaging for a student with a basic grounding in calculus (for example, the student who has studied Calculus Demystified by this author will be more than ready for Differential Equations Demystified). There will be many applications, many graphics, a plethora of worked examples, and hundreds of stimulating exercises. The student who completes this book will be ready to go on to advanced analytical work in applied mathematics, engineering, and other fields of mathematical science.

This book is written for people who want to refresh or improve their mathematical skills, especially in fields applicable to science and engineering. The course can be used for self-teaching without the aid of an instructor, but it can also be useful as a supplement in a classroom, tutored, or home-schooling environment. If you are changing careers, and your new work will involve more mathematics than you’ve been used to doing, this book should help you prepare.

Scientific culture has been a concern for decades in the developed world, giving rise to conceptual changes known as paradigms. The first one is the longstanding literacy paradigm, defined by the skills and knowledge acquired at the education institution. It has been followed by the public understanding of science paradigm, related to the scientific understanding and an allegedly subsequent positive attitude towards science.
