Studies find that UBI removes the work disincentive effect caused by means-tested welfare, encourages people to accumulate assets, and provides significant benefits for children. Furthermore, I refute the critics of UBI who disparage it on the basis of cost and temptation goods. I conclude that UBI is the optimal replacement to means-tested welfare because not only does it benefit individuals by lifting them out of poverty, but it also leads to positive macroeconomic results.

This paper examines how the secretary of the prefecture-level municipal party committee affects land supply in Chinese cities. We found that the traditional urban economics framework also applies to China. Specifically, population and gross domestic product (GDP) are highly correlated with land supply. On this basis, we found that the secretary of the municipal party committee, who has worked at the provincial government level, significantly affects the land supply at the municipal level.

Twenty five (25) flax type linseed genotypes taken from AICRP on linseed, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.) along with three checks (Surabhi, R-552, RLC-92) were evaluated for variability among yield and yield contributing traits in yellow seeded linseed at Raipur (C.G.). Analysis of variance implied that significant differences exist among the genotypes exist for all the characters under study. Consumption of excessive big quantity of trance-isomers leads to organism dysfunction at cellular level. It is established that trance-isomers metabolized in an organism much more slowly than natural cis-isomers. This paper suggests a simple, but effective, method for decomposing a three-dimensional medical image into basis function. This approach is neither parametric nor data driven, which means it does not depend on a priori basis set. The study aims at examining the relation between return and risk of shares listed on the HCMC Stock Exchange (HOSE). Data for the study include series of VN-Index and stock prices of 80 shares listed on the HOSE gathered on a weekly basis from Jan. 2, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2009. The results based on the regression method show that the riskier the portfolio, the higher the return and a non-linear relation between return and risk of these shares does exist.
