Traditional training methods

The article refers to the application of a blended learning model in the current digital transformation context at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hung Vuong University. In which, the application method is presented in accordance with the conditions of the faculty - the university, analyzing and evaluating the current situation to see the effectiveness, benefits, existence, difficulties, as a basis for educators to find out improvement and adjustment plans to bring about practical effectiveness in training.

Serology is considered the pillar of the syphilis diagnosis. The limitations of traditional serological methods, the advent and availability of new immunochromatographic tests have led to the widespread application of rapid procedures as syphilis screening tools. To apply the intergration of surgical skill into anatomical education using embalmed wet lab specimens with tradiational herbal conservation and novel fixation method. Subjects and methods: 40 students were taught by integrated surgical skills training into anatomy using embalmed specimens. 20 canine internal organ blocks were harvested and then preserved using the ethanol-glycerin-acetic acid-saturated salt solution fixation with traditional herbal conservation method. The students were surveyed to assess satisfaction with the new curriculum.

The numbers above have showed us a very positive situation. However, there is some weakness that needs to be pointed out. The teaching method being applied by most school in Vietnam is the old and traditional one in which the teacher is the primary speaker and the learners are the primary listeners. This method creates boredom in learners and encourages passive study habit. On the other hand, teachers are also under high pressure to strictly follow the curricula governed by the Ministry of Education and Training, which are dense and out of date.

The project is of two year’s duration and is supported by the Leonardo programme, an EU education programme. The project is a cooperation between France, Spain, Estonia, the UK and Denmark. The aim of the project is to make teaching with animation an integrated part of the European school system along with the more traditional ways of teaching. The inclusion of animation will provide more variety in the teaching methods and in that way promote different types of learning.

Discriminative methods have shown significant improvements over traditional generative methods in many machine learning applications, but there has been difficulty in extending them to natural language parsing. One problem is that much of the work on discriminative methods conflates changes to the learning method with changes to the parameterization of the problem. We show how a parser can be trained with a discriminative learning method while still parameterizing the problem according to a generative probability model.

This paper proposes a novel method to extract named entities including unfamiliar words which do not occur or occur few times in a training corpus using a large unannotated corpus. The proposed method consists of two steps. The first step is to assign the most similar and familiar word to each unfamiliar word based on their context vectors calculated from a large unannotated corpus. After that, traditional machine learning approaches are employed as the second step.

The nontraditional distributor as a source of RH/FP information is being replicated in Northern Nigeria, a region that has proven particularly reluctant to use modern contraceptive methods. Local women can be hard to reach because of the tradition of Purdah, which keeps them in the home unless escorted by a male relative. But traditional beauticians (Mai Lalle) and hair stylists (Mai Kitso) have access to both young married and unmarried women. Pathfinder plans to train these women to counsel their clients on RH/FP issues, including healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies.
