The resistivity method in geophysics is used to solve various geological and engineering problems. Recently, this nondestructive method has been used on trees to investigate possible infections within the trunks by scanning resistivity variations. In this study, the electrical resistivity method has been aimed to be applied on various trees in Istanbul, Turkey to test whether the method applies to trees via regular resistivity measurement devices used in geophysics.

Crateva adansonii is a plant species belonging to the family; Capparaceae, with multiple therapeutic uses in the traditional settings, including diabetes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antiradical and anti-hyperglycaemic properties of the aqueous extract of the bark of the trunk of Crateva adansonii. The anti-hyperglycaemic properties of the extract was evaluated by the inhibition test of α-amylase and α-glucosidase enzymes in vitro confirmed by an in vivo study, on starch and sucrose tolerance tests using acarbose as witness.

A leaf spot disease of Yucca plants is prevalent in India. They are native to the hot and dry parts of America and the Caribbean. Yucca is similar to agave but often forms trunks and typically has more numerous, thinner, leathery leaves with a smaller terminal spine. Yucca leaves range in color from deep green to pale blue, and leaves may be striped in shades of white, cream, yellow, or chartreuse. They are also used in pharmaceutical industries for medicinal properties When in flower yucca produces large, upright panicles (flower clusters) of white, bell-shaped flowers.

Leprosy, first described in ancient Indian texts from the sixth century B.C., is a nonfatal, chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae, whose clinical manifestations are largely confined to the skin, peripheral nervous system, upper respiratory tract, eyes, and testes. The unique tropism of M. leprae for peripheral nerves (from large nerve trunks to microscopic dermal nerves) and certain immunologically mediated reactional states are the major causes of morbidity in leprosy.
