Applying Makeup Like A Professional Whether you're applying makeup to yourself or a girlfriend, you know how important it can be to come away with the right look. The right amount and type of makeup can be extremely important in a woman's day to day life and part of the way to getting your look "right" is to work on the procedure. A few makeup tips will get you started in the right direction if you remember them. One thing to keep in mind is that the colors should be a touch different, and that they should be able to blend harmoniously. When you put on concealer, don't just dot it on, blend it with a sponge or warm cloth, or your fingers and make sure that it doesn't cake. For a wonderfully dramatic effect, use a light, medium and dark eyeshadow, with the darkest color being used to line the upper eyelid, the medium shade of eyeshadow for the crease of your eye and keep the lightest reserved for the area directly under your eyebrow.
