Combination of different epistemic markers in Conan Doyle’s detective stories and in Vietnamese translational equivalents

This paper examined combination of different epistemic markers in Conan Doyle’s detective stories and their Vietnamese translational equivalents. This is a descriptive and contrastive research, following the qualitative approach to examine the grammatical and lexical devices showing epistemic modality in terms of syntactic and semantic features in process of inference.
