Effects of cantilever length and diameter of the cutting tool on resonance frequency in ultrasonic assisted machining

This paper presents a quick method to determine the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic vibratory systems for different values of the diameter and the cantilever length of the cutting tool. Applying the V-I method, the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic assisted machining unit can be measured by the electrical impedance.
