Evolutionary airfoil shape optimization coupling parameterization methods with lagrangian vortex method

In this paper, evolutionary optimization procedures for the aircraft’s airfoil family during level flight (low angle of attack) are discussed. That is because in other flight conditions, such as take-off, climb, descend, landing, the level flight condition takes most of the time of economic flight.
