"Impact mechanism between digital transformation, fintech status and risk taking of Vietnamese commercial banks" following conclusions are drawn: (1) Digital transformation has a significant positive impact on the fintech status of commercial banks; and (2) Bank fintech innovation and application increases bank credit and liquidity risk but reduces insolvency risk. This article adds to the theoretical and empirical evidence on the role of fintech in banks’ risk taking. Thereby, the article proposes some recommendations from a micro perspective for commercial banks.
