Influence of porosity distribution pattern on the nonlinear stability of porous cylindrical shells under axial compression

The influence of porosity distribution pattern on the nonlinear buckling and postbuckling behavior of porous cylindrical shells subjected to axial compression are investigated by the analytical approach in this paper. The material properties are assumed to vary through the thickness of the shell. There are three porosity distribution pattern types are considered.
