Prevalence of hypertension among post-menopausal women in Enugu, Nigeria: Do age and marital status matter

The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of hypertension among postmenopausal women in Enugu, Nigeria, and whether or not age and marital status are risk factors. In a cross- sectional survey, a total of 300 post-menopausal women within the age range of 45-85 years who gave their informed consent, were conveniently selected from markets, schools and homes located in Enugu metropolis.
