Study on acoustic property of high porosity open-cell foams by homogenization approach

This paper demonstrates a homogenization approach to characterize the effect of cell size of open-cell foam materials on their acoustic properties such as effective density, effective bulk modulus, and sound absorption. The three-dimensional representative volume element of the local morphology of open-cell foams is first reconstructed.
