  • Keramzite gravel is widely used in construction and agriculture. Keramzite is used as material to produce light-weight concrete and fixed bed for the growing vegetables. This material is now known as a completely new and cheap absorbent material. Surprisingly, the adsorption capacity of the reactive dyes on the Keramzite gravel has been successful and is the precondition for the production of other gravel particles with higher toxicity.

  • People frequently hear what is being said; nevertheless, hearing is not the same as listening. To listen, we must make a conscious effort to not just hear but also absorb, digest, and comprehend what others are saying. Listening not only improves your capacity to understand and communicate, but it also makes other people's experience of conversing with you more pleasurable.

  • The influence of dose, concentration of CMC and bentonite on the sorption of hydrogels was investigated by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) method. According to the Langmuir isotherm model, the maximum adsorption capacities of CMC/bentonite hydrogel for Cu2+ and Pb2+ were 181.82 mg/g and 204.08 mg/g at room temperature, respectively. The pseudo-second-order model which describes the adsorption process of Cu2+ and Pb2+ was also studied. Mời các bạn tham khảo!

  • The results showed that AGC stocks were significantly lower than SOC, normally ranging from 9.9 to 29.55 tons ha-1 . Using the Walkley-Black method, the total SOC was estimated at the range of 81.76 to 323.83 tons ha-1 (with an average of 161.47±15.85 tons ha-1 ), which indicated a strong relationship between tree density and SOC. In addition, using the IDW interpolation method, this study estimated that the total CO2 absorbed by mangrove forests was 1,631,834 tons in Bang La and Dai Hop.

  • The marine dinoflagellate, Symbiodinium, is a well-known photosynthetic partner for coral and other diverse, non-photosynthetic hosts in subtropical and tropical shallows, where it comprises an essential component of marine ecosystems. Using molecular phylogenetics, the genus Symbiodinium has been classified into nine major clades, A-I, and one of the reported differences among phenotypes is their capacity to synthesize mycosporine-like amino acids (MAAs), which absorb UV radiation.

  • The present work focused on the synthesis of b-chitosan submicron particles (CSPs) from Todarodes pacificus using mechanochemical techniques. The gladius was submitted to a sequence of mechanical and chemical treatments to synthesize b-chitin (CT), which was further deacetylated to form spherical chitosan submicron particles with an average diameter of 6100 nm. The surface morphology of b-chitin and CSPs was observed using electron microscopy. The degree of deacetylation (DD%), evaluated from the absorbance peak of a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrum, was 80 ± 2.5%.

  • Human serum albumin (HSA) is best known for its extraordinary ligand binding capacity. HSA has a high affinity for heme and is responsible for the transport of medium and long chain fatty acids. Here, we report myri-state binding to the N and B conformational states of Mn(III)heme–HSA (i.e. at pH 7.0 and 10.0, respectively) as investigated by optical absorbance and NMR spectroscopy. At pH 7.0, Mn(III)heme binds to HSA with lower affinity than Fe(III)heme, and displays a water molecule coordinated to the metal....
