Perovskite solar cells are known to belong to the third generation of solar cells. Owing to the ability to change the band gap energy when changing the material composition, it has a high absorption coefficient that reduces manufacturing costs and carrier mobility. and the diffusion length of large charged particles leads to higher efficiency, so compared to other types of solar cells of the same generation such as color sensitive batteries and quantum dot batteries, perovskite batteries have the most application prospects.

Halide perovskites are now considered promising materials in the field of optoelectronic devices. Recently, the double halide-perovskite cesium tellurium iodine Cs2TeI6 has shown its potential application due to its strong stability, high absorption coefficient, suitable bandgap and composition of non-toxic elements.

In this work, we investigated the optical absorption in a quasi-one-dimensional system subjected to an external electromagnetic wave. The optical absorption coefficient was calculated by using the perturbation theory taking account of the effect of the electron - impurity interaction. The numerical result for the GaAs/AlAs cylindrical semiconductor quantum wire showed the presence of the resonant absorption peaks.

In this work, the temperature dependence of the anharmonic X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) and thermodynamic properties of the crystalline silicon (c-Si) have been investigated. The thermodynamic parameters are derived from the influence of the absorbing and backscattering atoms of all their nearest neighbors in the crystalline lattice with thermal vibrations.

Previous calculations of the γ dose given to Risø Calibration Quartz (RCQ) were performed using mass absorption and mass attenuation coefficients. In this paper, we update the γ dose given to RCQ using Geant4 simulations and provide a comparison with three other γ sources in Denmark.

Improvement of the optical absorption coefficient is essential to enhance the light conversion efficiency of thin-film organic solar cells. Here we report the use of an external electric field as a novel switch to improve the optical absorption capacity of two-dimensional defect blue phosphorene (BlueP) systems.

In this work, energy dependence of thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLDs) and optically stimulated luminescence dosimeters (OSLDs) for photon by the computational and experimental results was studied. Mass energy-absorption coefficients [in µen/ρ (cm2 /g)] for calcium, sulfur, oxygen, aluminum, carbon and dysprosium using the Mathematica software were calculated.

An accurate, precise, and simple spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination of the antithyroid drug carbimazole using ruthenium(III) chloride. This method is based on the formation at room temperature of a stable yellow-colored complex with λmax 370 nm. The method has a Beer’s law range of 7.81 to 1.95 × 10 2 µg mL−1, molar absorptivity coefficient ε = 1.519 × 103 L mol−1 cm−1, and correlation coefficient of 0.997. The metal:ligand (M:L) ratio of the complex was confirmed by the mole ratio and Job’s method of continuous variation, suggesting a 1:2 stoichiometry.

In this paper, a fast, cheap, simple, sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method based on high spin peroxo-Fe(III)-EDTA complex in the alkaline medium was developed for the determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in real water samples. The purple-coloured complex with a maximum absorbance at a wavelength of 525 nm was formed. Various parameters such as type of stabilizer reagent and its concentration, reaction time, Fe(III), EDTA and NH3 concentration were optimized. The method was confirmed with the Beer’s law with a molar absorption coefficient of 267.36 L mol−1cm −1 in the 8.

Consequently, a polarizationconversion mode is obtained with a high cross-polarization reflection in a broadband region (where the cross-polarization coefficient reaches up to 75 % in the frequency-range of 12.5 - 16.5 GHz). The polarization conversion was verified by experiment and the mechanism was clarified by the simulation of induced electric and magnetic fields. Our work could contribute to metamaterial-based multifunctional devices such as filter and polarization modulators.

The authors of the article suggest simple and express method of spectrophotometric determination of iron (III) through derivatives of monoammonium salt of glycyrrhizic acid (MASGA). The spectral characteristics of the MASGA-Fe (III) complex - absorption maxima (λmax = 440nm) and the actual molar extinction coefficient (ε = 3,425 × 102) were determined. The optimal conditions for the determination of iron (III) in the range of its concentrations of 2,0–45,0 μg / 25 ml of solution have been established.
