This study determined effect of nano TiO2 ratio on some properties of wood plastic composite (WPC), especially ultraviolet (UV) resistance of the material. Research results showed that, the TiO2 nanoparticles did not significantly affect bonding quality between wood flour and plastic, it means when adding nanoparticles into WPC, the strength of material was almost unchanged.

The paper aims to identify the structure of the export market for Acacia wooden furniture products, simultaneously determine the fundamentals of forming the market structure and propose marketing solutions for market development. The inequality index (GINI) and the concentration ratio (CR) were used to analyze the market structure.

The study examines actors engaged in timber production and timber products manufacturing and trade in four value chains: imported rosewood used in wood villages; domestic acacia plantation timber; domestic rubberwood plantation timber; and domestic scattered trees. All these value chains supply domestic and export markets. The study also seeks to understand gender issues in the value chains, and identify particular legal or regulatory effects on women and men.

“Acacia hybrids” refers to the inter-specific hybrids of A. mangium and A. auriculiformis, including natural, artificial and polyploid ones. The superiorities of selected acacia hybrid are fast growth, straight stem form, small branches, high productivity, and high ratio of wood utilisation. Acacia hybrids are recognized as having a higher pulping potential and greater soil improvement ability than that of the parental species, which may be shown to have 2.5-13 times larger numbers of nitrogen - fixing nodules on its roots in nursery stage.

In this paper, the behavior of a new nitrocellulose-based propellant from acacia cellulose was investigated. The ageing of the propellant samples was carried out at 70o C, 80o C and 90o C. After that, the content of stabilizer in aged samples was determined by HPLC and the lifetime of this propellant was estimated according to NATO standard. The vacuum thermal stability was tested at 125o C for 6 hours.

The last stage is the continuous decomposition of lignin at higher temperature up to 580 oC. For cellulose, the thermal degradation in air atmosphere has decomposition temperature higher than that in the nitrogen atmosphere but the ending temperature is lower. On the other hand, the thermal decomposition of lignin just occurred from 150 to 560 oC. The reaction for acacia wood demonstrated three stages. The water evaporated at lower than 120 oC in the first stage. The second stage is the devolatilization of biomass (214-322 oC) and the third one (322-420 oC) is the combustion of char.

The results show that, the average activation energy of rice husk is lower than activation energy of acacia wood. The average activation energies of corn cob and sugarcane bagasse are higher than that of acacia wood thermal degradation. This result has important role in the reactor design for using agricultural residue to generate power such as pyrolysis or gasification.

It is currently impossible to know the actual exact figure for total roundwood inputs to the Jepara wood industries, other than that it must lie between 1.55 and 2.20 million m3 /year. A full-time employee is therefore sustained by an average of 8 to 13 m3 /year, with a most probable average value of 9 m3 /year. The main processed wood species in Jepara is teak (Tectona grandis), followed by mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla, locally called mahoni).

This report is the result of training in Australia visit the ongoing project "sustainable development and profitability of acacia plantations for sawlog production in Vietnam" and refers to the resolution of problems for research research and development of forests in Western Australia. It is seen that three (3) major issues and challenges for forest development required to carry out research in Western Australia is the land salinilization, rapid depletion of natural wood and water deficit.

The site meets the criteria for a study of long-term sustainability, especially in terms of land use rights are managed by FSIV, and may be protected from changes in land use. It is relatively uniform and has been fenced to prevent browsing and impact from breeding.
