A 2-year-old goat was presented to TVCC with history of leaking of milk through teared teat. On examination showed that teat was ruptured longitudinally about 2 cm in length. Milk was coming out through the injured area. Sedation of goat done under the Xylazine and caudal epidural anaesthesia for suturing of the teat with the help of chromic catgut no. 1 in under lying layer and superficial layer with the help of silk thread.

Two cases of tortoise presented to the outpatient department of Surgery & Radiology, Bombay Veterinary College, Parel, Mumbai with complaint of anorexia and vomition, lethargy, reluctance to walk and slightly reddish ocular mucous membranes since long time. The clinical approach included history, clinical examination, radiography, surgical management along with supportive medication. On radiographical examination, there was some radio opaque material in stomach. On surgical excision, there was rusted iron wire in one case and ear ornaments in another case.

check that you have the correct tools and materials to carry out your intended repair. apart from the usual spanners, screwdrivers and sockets, hexagon and `torx' (star) drive fasteners are now in common use. if possible wash the repair area with a good detergent or a washing soda solution to remove any traces of wax or silicone polishes/trim dressings.
