Adjacent lymph node metastases

Adrenal ganglioneuroblastoma is an extremely rare tumor among adrenal neoplasms in adult. We reported a 26-year-old young female patient presented with vague pain in left plank. Abdominal sonography and CTScan revealed a heterogenous solid lobulated left adrenal mass which contenting central necrosis, hemorrhage, coarse calcification and multiple adjacent metastasized lymphoid nodules, hence adrenal cortical carcinoma was not excluded although testing for adrenal function were normal.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) metastasizes in an unpredictable fashion to adjacent lymph nodes, including those along the recurrent laryngeal nerves (RLNs). This study is to apply machine learning (ML) for prediction of RLN node metastasis in ESCC.

Small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SI-NET) are highly differentiated and genetically stable malignant tumors, yet they often present with advanced metastatic spread at the time of diagnosis. In contrast to many other types of malignant tumors, primary SI-NET are often asymptomatic and typically smaller in size compared to adjacent lymph node metastases.

Gastric (Nonlymphoid) Sarcoma Leiomyosarcomas and GISTs make up 1–3% of gastric neoplasms. They most frequently involve the anterior and posterior walls of the gastric fundus and often ulcerate and bleed. Even those lesions that appear benign on histologic examination may behave in a malignant fashion. These tumors rarely invade adjacent viscera and characteristically do not metastasize to lymph nodes, but they may spread to the liver and lungs. The treatment of choice is surgical resection. Combination chemotherapy should be reserved for patients with metastatic disease.
