Alumosilicate materials zeolites are widely exploited due to porous structure and ion-exchange properties in several industrial, agriculture and veterinary applications. The mainly used zeolite for medical purposes in animals and humans is the natural zeolite clinoptilolite.

The complexation activity of NADO with various metal ions in an ethanolic solution is specifically studied by means of fluorescent spectra. The NADO exhibits a significant fluorescence enhancement at 469 nm in presence of Al3 þ due to the formation of a complex.

Concentrations of three aluminium compounds significantly affected the mycelial extension of Trichoderma viride with low pH values growing on agar media, and the largest effect was recorded with aluminium chloride. Experiments in this work showed that there were significant relationships between Al concentration and pH in the Al inhibition of fungal activity on agar media.

Zn(Al$_{1-x}$Cr$_x$)$_2$O$_4$ powders with Cr$^{3+}$ contents ranging from x = 0.005 to 0.3 have been synthesized by sol-gel method using the following precursors: zinc nitrate (Zn(NO$_3$)$_2\cdot6$H$_2$O), aluminium nitrate (Al(NO$_3$)$_3\cdot9$H$_2$O), chrome nitrate (Cr(NO$_3$)$_3\cdot9$H$_2$O), and citric acid. The effect of the Cr$^{3+}$ concentration on structural and optical properties of the synthesized samples has been studied.
