Analysis in embedded systems

High dimensionality of data is a challenging scenario in the current era as the digital transformation of the society is in process. This problem is particularly complex in social networks as in such systems, it is coupled with other challenges such as interdependency of data points and heterogeneity of data sources. To overcome such disadvantages and aid in creation of downstream applications for social network analysis, network embedding techniques have been proposed.

In this paper, we propose a novel approach to provide an automated eye disease recognition system using visually observable symptoms applying digital image processing techniques and machine learning techniques such as deep convolution neural network (DCNN) and support vector machine (SVM). We apply the principal component analysis and t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding methods for better feature selection.

The results provided a detailed understanding of thermal behavior of a single LED module and established a crucial insight into thermal management design for high-power white LED lamp. Thermal-interface-materials (TIM) and the dielectric layer are proposed to have thermal conductivity around 1 W/mK for system optimization. In addition, based on the thermal analysis of heat sink, we have proposed and investigated a new configuration of plastic heat sink embedded with aluminum-alloy. The thickness ratio between the embedded aluminum layer and the heatsink base is suggested to be around 0.

This paper uses Systemic Functional Linguistics to interpret ending texts of four Cinderella versions. The interpretation compares and highlights the ways how experiential and interpersonal meanings are shaped in these texts. As a result, it reveals the similarities and differences in cultural values embedded in the fairy tales. Convincing cultural and historical explanations for contemporary controversies about the different Cinderella versions in Vietnam are also provided.

In this study, 0.45 mM yttrium 4-nitrocinnamate (Y(4NO2Cin)3) embedded in various aqueous chloride solutions, which has been studied as a possible localized corrosion inhibition system using electrochemical techniques and surface analysis. Furthermore, a wire-beam electrode (WBE) exposed to NaCl solutions containing Y(4NO2Cin)3 compound. The results indicated the possible application of a WBE in simulating and monitoring the localized corrosion inhibition.

In this paper, the ultimate load capacities of shell foundations on unreinforced and reinforced sand were determined by laboratory model tests. A series of loading tests were carried out on model shell footing with and without single layer of reinforcement. The tests were done for shell foundation at different shell embedment depth and subgrade density. The results were compared with those for flat foundations without reinforcement. The model test results were verified using finite element analysis using program PLAXIS.

Discourse in formal domains, such as mathematics, is characterized by a mixture of telegraphic natural language and embedded (semi-)formal symbolic mathematical expressions. We present language phenomena observed in a corpus of dialogs with a simulated tutorial system for proving theorems as evidence for the need for deep syntactic and semantic analysis. We propose an approach to input understanding in this setting.
