In this study, a TiO2-CeO2 heterostructure was synthesized using a cost-effective hydrothermal technique, suitable for continuous industrial-scale production and environmental remediation applications. The photocatalytic activity of the TiO2-CeO2 heterostructure was examined with MB dye under visible light irradiation. Significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity was observed compared to pure TiO2 nanoparticles.

Ebook "Eutrophication: Causes, consequences and control (Volume 2)" provide complete information on the topic of eutrophication and its related areas. It can be a resourceful guide suited for scholars and researchers. Chapter 1 will give general information including definitions, drivers, environmental conditions, and the control measures of eutrophication. Chapter 2 highlights the changes in the delicate balance between seasonal, spatial, and littoral dynamics, and the resulting biogeochemical changes in the eutrophic water bodies.

Ebook "Freshwater animal diversity assessment" gives a state of the art assessment of the diversity and distribution of Metazoa in the continental waters of the world. The project deals with all major animal groups plus the macrophytes, and encompasses the complete array of terrestrial aquatic ecosystems. It is the most comprehensive study of species- and genus-level diversity and chorology of the global freshwater fauna to date, and is the first to present comparable data on the different faunal groups concerned.

Ebook "Tools and criteria for sustainable coastal ecosystem management: Examples from the baltic sea and other aquatic systems" is to discuss practically useful (operational) bioindicators for sustainable coastal management, criteria for coastal area sensitivity to eutrophication and an approach set a "biological value" of coastal areas. These bioindicators should meet defined criteria for practical usefulness, e.g., they should be simple to understand and apply to managers and scientists with different educational backgrounds.

Phosphate enters the aquatic system through runoff from pastures, croplands, urban areas, and sewage treatment systems and fosters algal bloom causing eutrophication at higher concentrations in water. Therefore, controlling its concentration through routine water quality monitoring in aquatic ecosystems is essential.
