Meniscoid lesions have been reported in patients with chronic ankle injuries, especially in soccer athletes, and such lesions cause soft-tissue impingement and pain. To our knowledge, we are the first to report a meniscoid lesion in the ankle joint presenting as a long-term sequela of avascular necrosis of the talus that developed in childhood.

To evaluate long-term results of treatment for avascular necrosis of femoral head in late stages by using Spiron total hip replacement. Subject and method: From 2012 to 2016, 68 patients who are not older than 50 with stage IV, V, VI of avascular necrosis (According to Steinberg classification) were treated by 90 Spiron hips replacement in the Institute of Trauma and Orthopedic - 108 Military Central Hospital.

Femoral neck fracture (FNF) is a common intracapsular fracture in the elderly as a result of osteoporosis, which tends to increase with humans’ extended longevity. Regarding treatment for undisplaced FNF, internal fixation is mostly used, while primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) is used for older patients with displaced FNF because of the high rate of avascular necrosis and nonunion.

Avascular necrosis (AVN) of the femoral head (FH) is believed to be caused by a multitude of etiologic factors and is associated with significant morbidity in younger populations. Eventually, the disease progresses and results in FH collapse.

Avascular necrosis of femoral head and nonunion is a major complication after the treatment of displaced femoral neck fracture in young adults. The purpose of this study was to introduce a new technique using biodegradable magnesium screws and vascularised iliac grafting for displaced femoral neck fracture in young adults.

Arthroplasty is a proven treatment option for glenohumeral osteoarthritis. Common indications include primary or posttraumatic osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis of the humeral head, rotator cuff tear arthropathy and rheumatoid osteoarthritis. Arthroplasty is rarely performed among patients with glenohumeral dysmelia.

Multiple small drilling for core decompression is widely used to preserve the femoral head in patients with avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH). Nevertheless, the clinical outcome remains controversial. Simvastatin has been demonstrated to promote bone formation and reduce bone adsorption.

Trigger wrist is a rare condition first described by Marti in 1960, and various causes have been reported. The condition mostly occurs with finger flexion and extension, and rarely with flexion and extension of the wrist itself.

Avascular necrosis of the femoral head (AVNFH) occurs infrequently following femoral neck fracture. The association between AVNFH and dyslipidaemia remains controversial. Although major risk factors for AVNFH have been proposed, most of them remain under discussion.

Modifications to advanced Core decompression for treatment of Avascular necrosis of the femoral head
“Advanced Core Decompression” (ACD) is a new technique for treatment of osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) that includes removal of the necrotic tissue using a percutaneous expandable reamer followed by refilling of the drill hole and the defect with an injectable, hard-setting, composite calcium sulphate (CaSO4)-calcium phosphate (CaPO4) bone graft substitute.

Limitations in the lumbar spine movement reduce lumbar vertebral motion and affect spinopelvic kinematics. We studied the influence of lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration on spinofemoral movement, from standing to sitting, in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty (THA).

One of the most significant complications after a femoral neck fracture is osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH). The concomitant use of single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) with computed tomography (CT) increases the sensitivity for detecting the anatomic location and severity of ONFH.

It remains controversial whether the older age to perform closed reduction (CR) procedure for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), the higher incidence of complications. The aim of this study is to evaluate the midterm outcome of CR for DDH among different age groups, and to analyze and identify risk factors for the failure of this procedure.
