Investigations were carried out on fifteen cultivars of strawberry for growth, yield and quality characters. The results recorded reveal that maximum plant height (35.30cm) and number of runners (8.82) were in cultivar Catskill, however the average plant spread was found to be highest in Curaltar (34.16 cm) while cultivar Camarosa recorded maximum leaf area (42.86 cm2 ). Longest cultivar duration of bloom (85.30 days) was observed in cultivar Everly and minimum (55.38 days) in cultivar Winter Dawn.

The present study is based on information collected from 60 mizochilli growers and 20 marketing functionaries in Aizawl district of Mizoram in the crop year 2017-18, through pre-tested well design schedule. The results indicated the average productivity of mizo chili on sample holding was 10.72 quintal per hectare and the cost cultivation on per hectare basis was Rs. 97618.56.

The performance and water use efficiency (WUE) of Chrysanthemum var. Marigold was evaluated under two moisture regimes, i.e., 100 % FC and 70 % FC imposed and maintained using gravimetric method. At 100 % FC, the plant height (30.33 cm), average plant spread (38.21 cm), number of primary branches/plant (5.67) and secondary branches/plant (4.67), number of leaves/plant (71.67), number of flowers/plant (136.75), average weight of individual flowers (7.21g), RWC (94.29%), root: shoot ratio (0.42), total fresh bio mass (153.09 g), flower yield (881.67 g / plant) and shelf life of 7.

Among the diseases of safflower; dry root rot disease caused by Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi.) Goid is one of the most destructive and wide spread disease of Safflower (Carthamous tinctorius L.) causing accountable losses of about 25-60 per cent. Eleven Botanicals evaluated in vitro were found fungistatic/antifungal against M. phaseolina. Amongs these A. sativum followed by A. cepa and V. negundo caused significantly highest mean mycelial inhibition 83.57, 72.09 and 65.85 per cent respectively.

In this paper, we study the stock returns for large trades with price impact. We use the daily changes in volume-weighted average price (VWAP) as a proxy of the returns for institutional investors. This return is then compared statistically to the daily return using closing price. Using a panel data of NYSE/AMEX stocks, we find a fixed effect contributing to the spread between them and it can be interpreted as an unbiased ex post estimate of price impact.

On an average, the disease can cause 30 to 100 per cent yield loss around the globe depending on its severity. In Assam, an important factor associated with Citrus decline is the wide spread prevalence of Huanglongbing (HLB) in Khasi mandarin (Citrus reticulata). HLB was detected by molecular methods in Khasi mandarin orchards of Assam state in Northeastern India.

The investigation on menthol mint cultivars Kosi, Kushal, Sambhav, Saksham and Himalaya was carried out to study the effect of different planting dates (5th July, 20th July and 5th August) in kharif 2017-18 on growth, yield and quality in split plot design with three replications under Northern dry zone of Karnataka. Remote sensing is very useful to collect information about water resource and to manage it by satellite data. In this paper, study has been carried out for Ramganga reservoir using Landsat 8 imagery for spatiotemporal mapping. The imagery has been collected from 2013 to 2018 for pre-monsoon and post monsoon season. The reservoir, under study, is presently used for hydroelectric purpose and irrigation. Landsat-8 images which were cloud free has been taken for the study.

Data on birth weight pertaining to 373 Mehsana kids for a period spread over 7 year (from 2011 to 2017) maintained at organised farm were utilized to study the various factors affecting it. On the basis of date of birth of kids, data were divided in to 3 different seasons and 7 periods (year). Effects of sex of kids as well as type of birth on birth weight were also assessed using least squares analysis. The average birth weight of Mehsana kids was 2.555 ± 0.043 kg.

Molai aadu is a lesser known goat breed rearing for meat purpose in Tamil Nadu and not yet registered as distinct breed. So far no sincere efforts have been made for registration of this population of important genotype. Hence, the present study was carried out to document Molai Aadu goat by using the proforma developed by the NBAGR, Karnal. Molai aadu goat is very popular among the breeders and has spread to Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Erode and Tirupur districts. The goat is prevalently spread to Chithode, Kavundapadi, Sirivaloor, Nambiyoor, Kanjikovil and Nallampatty areas of Erode district.
