A fabrication technique using Al2O3-passivated local contacts was employed to produce narrow-bandgap CuInSe2 (CISe) photoabsorbers, which are well-suited as bottom cell materials in tandem devices. In this study, for the first time, we attempted to improve the photovoltaic conversion efficiency (PCE) of CISe solar cells by adding a Al2O3 passivation layer.

This paper reports the optimization of the molybdenum thin film electrode as the back contact of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The molybdenum thin film was grown on the glass substrate by direct current sputtering techniques of which the sputtering power was 150 W at 18 sccm flow rate of Ar. At such sputtering parameters, the Mo film can reach the lowest resistivity of 1.28E−6 cm at 400 nm thick. And the reflection of Mo membrane was 82%. This value is considered as a very good result for preparation of the back contact of DSSC.

The laser has a range of pulse widths from 5 to 100 milliseconds, which is longer than the thermal relaxation time of the epidermis and comparable to that of the follicle. This pulse width range can effectively damage the follicle. However, the epidermis also contains some melanin and must be protected. A sapphire window (ChillTip) with high thermal conductivity is put in direct contact with the skin. It cools the epidermis before, during, and after each laser pulse. Because of index matching, it also reduces internal reflection of back-scattered light.
