Nurses play an important and critical role in educating the individual with diabetes. Aim of the study is to assess the knowledge level of nurses and associated factors in the nutritional management of diabetes with sample of 100 nurses in Basra hospitals; Closed – end questions questionnaire was used for the purpose of data collection.

Blood borne diseases is a serious global public health problem, health workers are in danger of infection. 1- Assessment of health workers’ knowledge about blood borne diseases in Al- Basra general hospital. 2- Assessment of health workers’ knowledge precautions to prevent infections. Across sectional institutional study was conducted among health workers the total subjects studied were 50 of health workers.

A descriptive study was carried out at the Basra Hospitals started from November 2th 2017 to 2th march, 2018. The study aims to assess nurse's knowledge concerning jaundice, and to identifying the relationship between nurse's knowledge and their demographic characteristic. A purposive sample of (100) nurses was selected on the surgical wards in Basra hospitals (AL-Sader, AL-Basra, AL-Fyhaa, and AL-Mawani). The data were collected through the use of direct interview, which comprised of (30) items as mean of data collection.

The main objective is to evaluate the incidence of bacterial pathogens in the liquid bile of patients underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy using CHROMagar media. A Total of 34 samples were collected from patients suffering from cholecystolithiasis who were subjected to laparoscopic cholecystectomy by the same surgeon at Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital in Basra City for the period (31st of January 2016 to 30th of April 2016).
