Chickpea is best nutritional crop in leguminous species, and biotic and abiotic stress affects the yield loss around 50 to 60 % .For preventing yield loss from this stress, it is necessary to developed high yield, qualitative variety of chickpea. In vitro methods are best technique for regeneration and development of transgenic variety of chickpea. In this investigation research to determine chickpea in vitro micropropagation was studied in genotypes; of chickpea JG62, JG63 JG315, VIJAY and Bhupdachana with explants immature cotyledonary and embryonic axis.

In vitro regeneration and in planta transformation protocols were standardized for the black gram (Vigna mungo L.) cv. VBN 3, an important grain legume. An efficient regeneration protocol was developed using 1-week-old de-embryonated cotyledon as explants. The maximum frequency of shoot regeneration (72.6%), multiple shoot induction (6.0 ± 0.3) and shoot elongation was achieved on MS medium supplemented with 3.0 mg/l 6-benzyl amino purine (BAP) after 4 weeks of culture. Capsicum annuum L. is an important vegetable crop of India and grown widely in open field as well as polyhouses. Low seed germination and higher price of seeds is major problem associate with the cultivation of this crop. To overcome these problems, plant tissue culture offers technology to generate a nursery in minimum duration with several other benefits. For this purpose, a study was designed to evaluate the effect of benzyl amino purine (BAP) on seed germination and multiplication shoot induction from shoot apex and nodal segment. Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus) seeds were used as primary source of explants for sterilization. Seeds were sterilized with 0.1 % mercuric chloride for 2 minutes to obtain minimum contamination (10 %). MS (Murashige and Skoog’s media) supplemented with 4 mg per litre BAP + 0.3 mg per litre IAA served as the best medium for shoot proliferation from in vitro shoots as it produced maximum number of shoots (2.67) with maximum number of leaves (4.73) and maximum shoot length (1.92 cm) at three weeks of inoculation.

This study was carried out to assess the propagation of Tacca leontopetaloides (Taccaceae) in Vitro using seed embryos. The seeds were cultured on Murashige & Skoog basal media augmented with various concentrations of single or combined growth hormones to obtain a suitable protocol for plantlet regeneration. Adventitious shoots were obtained from the diploid Diyarbakir watermelon cultivar "Sürme" by culturing cotyledons on shoot regeneration medium for 3 weeks. The effects of two cytokinins, benzyl amino purine (BA) and kinetine (Kin), on shoot organogenesis were examined. The number of shoots per explant were approximately more than 50% higher when 0.5 mg/l BA was used compared to the most effective kinetin concentration (1 mg/l).
