Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has been designed and carried out in Hanoi. It will be carried out in Hochiminh city and Danang in the near future. There are issues to be considered.

In this article, the issue of improving the quality of passenger service of urban passenger transport in large cities and megacities on the routes, operating on the Bus Rapid Transit technology, is considered. Quality improvement is achieved by automatic regulation of the movement of each passenger vehicle during the movement on the route after disturbing influences in order to ensure the movement of each vehicle on schedule. As a mechanism for regulating Autonomous traffic, an advanced bus driver assistance system is proposed.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is one of the most effective solutions to meet an enormous growth of travel demand in developing countries’ urban areas where urban rail systems are on the plan or under construction but not in reality yet. Based on collection and synthesis of successful and outstanding experience over the world (e.g. in Bogota (Colombia), Guangzhou (China), Ahmedabad (India)), the Bus Rapid Transit Standard (BRTS) was introduced to provide guidelines to the following creation of BRT.
