However, the low electric conductivity and tap density still hinder its large-scale commercialization. Micro-sized LiFePO4 is prepared by an optimized hydrothermal method in this paper.   • This study reports the effect of vanadium on the crystal structure and electrical and electrochemical properties of La0.6−x VxSr0.4MnO3−δ (x = 0.005–0.1) perovskite-based cathode materials in solid oxide fuel cells. Crystal structure, morphology, and porosity of prepared cathode materials are characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning electron microscopy. Using XPS analysis it was established that the La3+ cation is exchanged by the V4+/5+ cation in the perovskite structure.

  • In the past years there has been a great interest in self-doped TiO2 nanotubes (blue TiO2 nanotubes) compared to undoped ones owing to their high carrier density and conductivity. In this study, blue TiO2 nanotubes are investigated as photoanode materials for photoelectrochemical water splitting. Blue TiO2 nanotubes were fabricated with enhanced photoresponse behavior through electrochemical cathodic polarization on undoped and annealed TiO2 nanotubes.

  • In this paper, Ba doped LaMnO3 nanoparticles (LBMO), a promissing material for making cathode of SOFC, were prepared by microwave combustion method. This material has many advantages. Effect of the amount fuel in the combustion reaction on the products was studied by various methods such as: X-ray diffraction measurement, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive Xray spectroscopy. The results showed that each doping rate requires an appropriate amount of fuel to obtain pure and crystalline product.

  • This study we attempt to (i) discover a better performing electrode material to minimize the internal resistance of the MFC, (ii) modify the anodic electrode spacing to determine a design that better supports the electrochemical activity of acting bacteria, and (iii) reduce losses during the electron transfer process (from the electron donor at the anode to the electron acceptor at the cathode) via optimization of the cathode oxygen supply rate and the external resistance using polarization analysis.
