The result has recorded 29 species of bamboo belonging to 15 genera. The Bambusoideae grow naturally in almost all regions, in an altitudinal range that extends from 200 m up to 2,160 m. Bamboo in the Central Highlands is distributed in three vegetation types: degraded natural forests in valleys and mountain gorges, along rivers (twenty-one species); primary forest, mixed with broadleaved trees (six species); and dry dipterocarp forest (two species).

Groundwater potential zoning using Logistics Model Trees based novel ensemble machine learning model
n this work, the main aim is to map the potential zones of groundwater in Central Highlands (Vietnam) using a novel ensemble machine learning model, namely CG-LMT, which is a combination of two advanced techniques, namely Cascade Generalization (CG) and Logistics Model Trees (LMT). For this, a total of 501 wells data and a set of twelve affecting factors were gathered and selected to generate training and testing datasets used for building and validating the model.

Quang Truc forest (QTF) is a remote area in the South-West of Dak Nong province, Vietnam, which is well known for valuable timber species representative for central highland of Vietnam with different globally and nationally threatened species. However, the general understanding of plant diversity of QTF has been still poorly known. The objectives of this paper are to figure out the plant diversity of QTF and compare that with other protected forest areas in Dak Nong province, in order to provide scientific evidences for conservation and sustainable development.

In the studies of Vietnamese territorial expansion, the perception of the ‘March to the South’ has become overwhelming in scholarship. Beginning in the 16th century and in collaboration with the group of Nguyễn Lords, the southward movement turned out to be most active and was able to reach the end of the long coast-line forming the shape of the letter S that characterizes modern Vietnam’s territory. Ever since then, the Việt people have been dominant in the Central region, the Lower Mekong and have even touched the Central Highlands in the West.
